Overview
About Me
I'm a Ecology grad student, bird watcher, nature explorer and book lover. I'm also a bit of a nerd.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I don't have many opportunities to travel, but when I do, I'd like to get out of my comfort zone and meet new perspectives of the world. Being shy makes it hard to talk to and meet new people, and Couchsurfing may help me with it.
Interests
Old things, old places, old history, old everything! And food - who could not be interested in food??
I also like to be in touch with nature.
- animals
- cats
- birds
- books
- dining
- traveling
- ecology
- history
Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a rock fan, and although I'm not much of a drinker, I like rock bars. As for movies, my favorite one is Space Jam (yeah, don't judge me).
Reading for me is not a healthy activity because I forget to do basic stuff (such as eating) in order to keep reading. I like books and comics. Two of my favorite authors are Jane Austen and Neil Gaiman.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Well, I don't know If I ever did something really amazing, but there was this special time in my life when I moved out from my home in the city of São Paulo to go to college in another city. My life changed and I changed in a way I'm pride of.
Teach, Learn, Share
I guess I have more to learn than to teach, but I can share my experience in living in Brazil.
I can make brigadeiro, which is a very popular Brazilian sweet. If you meet someone from Brazil and this person tells you he/she doesn't know how to make it, they're not truly Brazilians.
What I Can Share with Hosts
As already said, there's a lot more to be learnt than shared, but if you're having trouble with your cat's behavior than count on me to help you!
Working with animal behavior in the past 2 years changed the way I interpret human nature and social organization. It's a more biological than social view of human behavior and maybe people interested in cultural aspects of life would like to have a chat about this.
