I sent this as a request to someone. I decided it was a good description for my profile:

I'm starting a grand journey across the continent. I've never tried Couchsurfing.com before, though I set up a profile years ago. I am riding a bicycle across Europe this summer with a suit of armor, swordfighting at medieval festivals and going to industrial music concerts.

I'll start from Amsterdam, then Cologne, then across Germany to Wolin, Poland. That will be my July. From there, I'll head to Hildesheim, Himbach, Berlin, and all points in between this August.

In September, I will ride to Hamburg, through Dithmarsch, Nordfriesland, Denmark, then to Oslo and Drammen. After that I will be riding south through Eastern Europe, to Ukraine, Romania and Bulgaria. It should be quite the journey, and I'm hoping to find friends along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have my own network of friends/ connections; one of them suggested couchsurfing.com, so I just joined up. I travel mostly in the states doing full contact medieval combat. Almost every town has a group. I bring my armour, fight them, have beers afterwards. You'll wanna come watch: Its the right craic!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Meow Wolf. Go. Also: shook hands with Timothy Leary, he signed my Naked Lunch. Got a couch in Dublin by singing. Lived with an irishman, and an englishman named Richard Penistone. Once gave a blind man directions by pointing. Built much of the Internet on the Navajo Nation. Raised 3 children, one named Loki. Have 7 siblings, half my family is black. Taught the OSI model to 2nd-8th grade native americans. More to tell...

I was a teacher. Now I teach teachers to teach. Lol. I know a fair thing about computers, being as thats my job. Also dryland Permaculture. Can read Old Norse. Mainly though I like to listen and learn from ppl.
