About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live fully alive and empower people to "Inhabit Your Dreams!"®
ABOUT ME
My profile says "Santa Fe, NM" but I left the U.S. in 2011 and have been living the expat life and working online (and with local clients wherever I am) since 2011. Currently I am based Catalunya, Spain but plan to move to Florence, Italy late 2020. I look forward to meeting a number of wonderful, conscious fellow couchsurfers, learning from you and being a positive influence in your life. For 6 years, my home base has been San Miguel de Allende, in central Mexico. I am a business and communications coach, writer/editor/photographer, and offer tours for creatives to Cuba. Please visit my website: www.AyshaGriffin.com for more about moi.
PHILOSOPHY
Just passing through, ever present, with an attitude of gratitude and the goal of growing in love.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
As both a CS traveler and former host, I have had nothing but exceptional experiences,. For many years, I was also a traveler and host member of Servas.org (an international host/traveler organization based on the Gandhian idea that "peace is built one friendship at a time").
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
After hosting many guests, I finally couchsurfed in France and Spain Sept/Oct 2008 and a few times since. A great organization of kind, intelligent people. Please read comments below. Now, I am seeking to expand my couchsurfing experiences once again in southern Europe.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Casablanca, Love Actually, Red Violin, Orlando, The Green Beautiful, Life of Pi;
Music: Latin jazz, swing jazz, 60's folk, anything recorded by Yoyo Ma, anything I can move to or sing along with.
Books: Travel genre, biographies and memoirs, satire (like PJ O'Rourke, Vonnegut, etc.), well-crafted stories with richly-developed characters.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I cooked on a 90-foot herring tender for 6 weeks in the rough waters of the Bering Sea (off Alaska) for 7 guys who were heavy meat-eaters and I had been a vegetarian since age 16. They taught me what parts were what from the freezer and how to cook them. Somehow, no one starved.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach/share: effective marketing, writing and editing, conversation and business English, creative thinking/problem solving, relationship building/communication skills, envisioning/dream boarding.
I would like to to become fluent in Spanish and learn some Italian.
What I Can Share with Hosts
organizing, coaching, encouragement, meditation, cooking, cleaning, laughter, singing, life stories... whatever makes your life better and more joyful!
