ABOUT ME

Hi,

well, I think I'm not very good at describing myself (that should be done by someone else) but I'll give it a try.

I grew up in Osnabrück, a nice city in northern Germany I can only recommend you to visit. Since autumn 2009 I live and study in Heidelberg. And I think that's all I can say here without having nothing to fill the other boxes with...

PHILOSOPHY

Ad astra!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

From the first time hearing of the CS-network I was fascinated by it. Unluckily I wasn't 18 at that time so I had to wait until I could finally join in.

In summer 2009 I surfed a few couches first in southern Germany and then in Mexico and both times I had only great experiences.

Now that I live in my own flat I am willing to host some surfers. I don't have much space though.

Interests

I'm interested in science, philosophy, foreign countries, literature and politics.
But what I'm interested in more than in any of those fields is science, or more specific: physical astronomy.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all the movies of Quentin Tarantino but I'm also a great SciFi-Fan. "Serenity", "Starship Troopers" (first part!) or "12 Monkeys" are only some examples. There are simply too many good movies and I've hardly watched some 10% of them.

Mostly, I listen to rock music, for example "The Red Hot Chili Peppers", "Foo Fighters" or "Linkin Park". What I don't like that very much is Hip Hop, but I try not to judge people by their taste in music.

I like thrillers like those by Ken Follett, fantasy stories like "Lord of the Rings" and nearly everything Shakespeare wrote. Recently I read a lot rather philosophical stuff, for example John Locke or Friedrich Nietzsche.

Teach, Learn, Share

I haven't made so many experiences in my life yet, so there aren't so many things I can teach others about life. What I can share with other people is my knowledge about astronomy and the night sky.
