About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Engage the world!

ABOUT ME

I'm a 23-year old student from Germany. Before I moved there, I lived in Ireland for a year and before that in Switzerland. I am both, Swiss and German.

At the moment, I'm enjoying my year abroad in Pennsylvania where I study at a small liberal Arts College until May 2010.

I'd say I'm outgoing, open-minded, good-humoured, very sociable and positive. I try to make the best out of every situation because I think the meaning of life is living. So that's what I'm doing.

Besides travelling, I love music and literature. I study creative writing, cultural studies and German.

PHILOSOPHY

A ship in a harbour is safe, but that’s not what ships are built for.

Don't let them cut your wings before your learn to fly.

Good friends don't let you do stupid things... alone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As much as I can.
I like that thanks to Couchsurfung I'm no ordinary tourists anymore. I love this new way of traveling. It connects people all around the globe which is a great thing. I've met a lot of interesting and great people already and I'm looking forward to meeting more.

I got many of my friends into couchsurfing and last semester I took an essay writing class and wrote a 20 page paper about my own couchsurfing experiences, the idea itself and about Daniel Hopkins, a guy from Osnabrück, Germany, who couchsurfed around the world in 80 days.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfed in Sweden and Ireland.
Hosted people from Greece, the US and Germany.

Interests

I love poetry slam, photography, art, Banksy!, language coffee and ice-cream, the ocean, sheep, every kind of nonsense, writing, running through sprinklers, laughing, Ireland, lashing rain (sometimes), kayaking, inline-skating, Frisbee, airports, cherries, sushi, swiss chocolate and loads more...
