ABOUT ME
I was born in New York, after 4 years we moved to Senegal, then four years later to Netherlands, another year and a half later to Germany, then two and half years later to Malaysia, five years later to Philippines, and now I live in the Netherlands again. :)
I have a bit of a discovery channel addiction, I love seeing new things. I love a good discussion, and am generally always on hand if something computery needs a little TLC :)
PHILOSOPHY
"Jou vrijheid gaat tot daar, waar deze een ander stoort" -my father
(trans: your freedom extends to there, where it impinges on another)
"Nec audiendi qui solent dicere, Vox populi, vox Dei, quum tumultuositas vulgi semper insaniae proxima sit" -Alcuinus
(trans: Pay no heed to those claiming the voice of the people to be the voice of God, since the riotousness of the mob is very close to madness)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
While I was a flatmate of Konstantin, we hosted regularly, and enjoyed doing so.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm a couchpotato during weekends, does that count? :P
Interests
New things, old things, unknown things.
I like anything new, I'm a very curious person and usually overflowing with energy. I love learning things, although my memory has been likened to that of a goldfish :-S
Music, Movies, and Books
My first and foremost love is House M.D.
His ascerbic wit, impish irreverence and caustic cynicism makes me smile just thinking about it.
I love series and movies, most especially romantic comedies. Anything scary is instant veto, life's too short to waste on other people's nightmares. A good action movie always goes down well, as well as themes like wars, sociological exploration of man, and virtually anything by Anthony Hopkins.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbed Mt. Ophir in Malaysia and admired a sunset between two layers of wispy cloud cover.
