OBS: I know my response rate is very low. The reason for that are many but mainly I have been a member in this website since its early days 15 years ago. And as one of the developers that helped build this website I've always got a LOT of requests. I used to keep it up with my inbox but at some point it became impossible. I'd have to be a full time secretary for that. Plus there were a few years where I was quite inactive, so messages just piled up. I just don't have the energy to go through the +10000 unread messages today and tick one by one just to "fix" this response rate)

I had some great experiences with couchsurfers around the world.
I also worked as a volunteer being part of the team of the developers of the website, around 2009 when the website (and spirit) was completely different.

I made a lot of good friends in here, some of them I still keep in touch even more than a decade later which I think it's fantastic.
