About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Loving life to the fullest, loving the people on this planet even more!
ABOUT ME
Hi there,
Thanks for visiting my profile.
I'm a 21 year old Signlinguistics student, born in the Netherlands and I've been living in Amsterdam for almost three years now. I love the city and it's diversity of people and place to hang out.
I live with my best friend Sophie and with my lovely little cat Leo.
I'm easygoing, love to have conversations about cultural differences, love to have a drink in the summer-sun in a park or on a terras, love animals and are okay with it if you bring one, love to read, listen to music and play some games.
PHILOSOPHY
Poor translation out of Dutch language:
'A day without laughter is a day without life.
A day without learning is a day without living.'
Today is the first day of the rest of your life.
Live your life to the max.
Only the educated are free.
Man is Nature's sole mistake.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies:
Seven Pounds, The man in the Iron Mask, Titanic, Saw, Slumdog Millionair, Ik ook van jou, Awakenings, The never ending story, Disney movies in general, Ice Age, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sandboarding in the desert of Peru, watching sunset in the middle of nowhere there, was really a lifechanging experience. Nature can be so totally overwhelming! The voluntary work I did there changed me the most, I can advise that to any and everybody :-)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some basic signs out of Dutch Sign Language or American Sign Language, I can tell you a lot about deafness and signlanguages, I can discuss my life philosophy and I can learn you somethings about Dutch culture. Mostly you learn stuff about your own culture when coming into another, or learning about another culture. Besides all that I've got a lot of books which I'm willing to exchange for other ones :-D
