ABOUT ME

I used to be a slightly stereotypical hippie a couple of years back but since then I've rounded out my personality a bit, some people call it growing up.
I do however still have the ability to play like a child and sometimes remember to stop and sniff the flowers.

PHILOSOPHY

I guess I've realised most "common wisdom" is pretty damn good. Also I believe in living an integrated balanced life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used to host quite a bit but since my fiance moved into our one room apartment that's no longer a possibility so I've been inactive for some time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed some in Lund before i got an apartment and then i hosted a bit.

兴趣

I have a history of being intensely interested in things for a while and then dropping them forever.

My main interests are learning things, playing boardgames, sports (although my knee is too injured to play at the moment), and interesting conversation.

I also enjoy just relaxing, reading a good book, good food, listening to music (especially live) and all the other little pleasures in life.

I pretty much enjoy all music from Classical to Techno except for schlager and metal.

When it comes to movies I am not as open-minded. Firrst of I don't really like sitting and watching movies so much at all anymore. And if I do sit down to watch something it has to be something really good. I really don't like horror movies.

As for books i mostly read fantasy altho I've been known to indulge in other genres whenever i get tossed a good book. However when it comes to books i have quite high standards. Books aren't as brainnumbing as moving pictures and thus actually need to have some quality and I discard most of what I start reading during the first chapter because of the lacking quality of the writing. A prime example of excellent writing can be found in "The Malazan Empire" by Steven Erikson.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

A lake on Iceland that contained thousands of differently coloured blocks of ice from a nearby glacier and consisted of melted water from said glacier with the glacier as a distant background. Swimming in that lake and looking around is probably the most amazing thing that I've had the privilege of experiencing in my life.

I can teach math and natural sciences, except for that I don't think i have anything specific worth advertising.
As for learning I can't think of anything specific, I'm sure that whoever you are there are lots of things I would like to learn from you.
