Overview
About Me
After 2,5 years of travels and many experiences, I'm cycling now, from Cancún to Guatemala and then... Who knows?
ABOUT ME
Open-minded, love to talk about anything, particular in my thoughts.
I'm easy, everything is fine for me.
Not only I don't care about not having my own space at your place, I even prefer to get a house full of guests, from your local environment or from CS around the world. The more, the better!
I really don't need a comfy place, any floor or piece of land is appreciated.
You don't need to entertain me, if you have time and personal interest, it's awesome, if not, I'm happy with just a place to crush.
PHILOSOPHY
IMPORTANT NOTE:
I'm not a planning kind of traveler, I am and wanna be open to improvisation and opportunities, meaning I can never really exactly know when I'll arrive or leave a place or even if I'll keep the direction I had in the first place (might just end on the other side of the country instead), so I appreciate flexible hosts. Dates I request are always more or less approximate, specially with more than 1-2 days in advance. That's why I'm more into last minute requests since I don't wanna bother anyone.
So if you'd feel frustrated when I change my plans or need specific and definite days (which is also OK), let me know so we can talk it out.
Also, by the same reasons, I rarely can afford to send very personalized requests, I need to send a huge amount of them in a short lapse of time to find people to share with. It's just not true that if, last minute I send very few but very well written, I get more chances, majority never answers and from the rest, big amount decline if not a woman. Plus I really believe that I travel to meet different and random people, choosing a host by affinity would narrow the chances to get challenged and instead, the traveler moves in the same environments losing the opportunity to learn and grow. I do have an overall look at the profiles but try to avoid prejudices choosing after a few lines. ANYONE can be super interesting, the more different and unexpected, the better.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe in freedom and individual responsability. I don't believe in money!
Definitely travel connecting to locals, learn from them, eat their food.
Remain open to traveling adventures.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I offer room in my house for the nice people and I'm thinking now about starting to travel much more... ;)
So, after hosting about 100 people in here it might be my turn to ask! :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Well, when I was 17 to 20 I travelled a lot around Europe with inter-rail, and slept in several houses just one night because we met people everywhere and they invited us to their own homes! When nobody gave us this chance we simply were sleeping in the street!!! So I would like to offer mine in return for people who cannot afford hotels.
One hosted 100 travelers in Madrid and while traveling myself I've been surfing couches in Athens, Denpasar, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Brisbane, Sydney, Tasmania, India and Mexico (I mean through the Web site... Obviously many more on the way!)
Interests
Art in general. Music, architechture in particular. Science too: mathematics, physics... Big fan of history and specially ancient civilizations.
Music, Movies, and Books
Rock, Reggae, Ska, Punk, Black Music... Almost every music but electronic. Science, art, history books and novels.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was really impressed once in finland when I saw the Northern Lights in Rovaniemi for the first and last time!
I also participate once in Festimad (which is a macro musicfestival in Madrid), back in 2005.
We had a problem with the ceiling in the main stage... So we stopped the festival for like 6 hours
Well... This was like a huge riot! 50000 angry people destroying everything! This was something to tell my grandchilds... XD
In 2013 I had the chance to meet a really good friend thanks to CS. I start to travel again after long time. I learnt soooo many things... The incredible thing I've done it's to go to France, Greece, Nepal and Indonesia with that friend. In Greece, we were robbed of almost everything we got. After really bad days, we begun to feel more free and light. So I decided to make a crazy thing: I follow her to a one month travel to Nepal without thinking! That was one of the best decisions of my entire life, my whole world turned upside down... I start to feel everything in a new and much deeper way, and it's only the beginning! I want to change so many things in my life I don't even know how to begin. I thank the universe for that chance! After I had the chance to visit Indonesia for 2 months.
After going back to Madrid in 2014, I decided to make my own trip.
I worked and shared house to spare money while still hosting people there and in October I was almost ready, I left everything and booked a flight for the next day to Bangkok.
1 month in Thailand, riding a scooter in the northern mountains (Mae Hong Son loop) and 7 months in NZ after happened the next incredible thing: I joined the alternative sailing community in their project and sailed 6 months to Fiji and Vanuatu while making circus on the way and learning about community life!
After the 4th boat I've sailed broke, I had to let go the project that kept going to PNG and Philippines...
Then in between other trips, I've cycled around Tasmania, Cuba and Mayan Riviera. That's a great mental challenge.
Wanna help me on the way? ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
I recently had many super nice experiences...
I realized I would like to meet people with something great about their energy, just like really good friends forever I just made. I would like to feel more the energy of the people and the world... It's so nice! I want to activate my right side of the brain! XD
