COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

By and large, I have met the most wonderful people, hosts and fellow surfers alike, through this community. It enriches travelling in a way difficult to describe to someone who hasn't tried it - sort of like parachuting, I would imagine. The trust involved in meeting people from different cultures and being invited into their homes, at least for me, inspires hope for a better humanity.

Teach, Learn, Share

I did an apprenticeship in landscape management (gardening) when I was younger, which proved to be universally applicable wherever I went. My English capabilities have landed me the odd teaching and translation job as well. I also love playing the guitar and singing, I like to cook, and I have some basic experience with surviving in the wild. Above all I am keen on living - learning the art of living - fully, which for me implies a regular meditative practice, the art of improvisation, cooking (exploring new varieties and configurations of edible stuff), building/crafting things with my hands and doing farming in the permaculture/ biodynamic spirit.
