Resumen
Sobre mí
My current mission : Carpe diem !
About me:
I was born in France and lived in different cities there. I used to have friends from everywhere and my dad was a sailor. That's why I'm so interested in languages and differents cultures.
My first travel was to Ireland when I was 17. I almost decided myself the day before to leave :) I've been there for a week without any guide and stuffs, only a few clothes in my small backpack, it was really funny. It was almost 20 years ago. Since then I had the great "disease" of travelling.
When I was 22, i did a "1 year round the world trip" with a friend which we called "TourDuWorld": We went through a lot of countries and so many things happened...Since, he lives in Malaysia and we continued to travel and meet people...I'm a simple person who love photography, travels, sports (I practise yoage every morning, baseball at European level, bodyboarding, swimming regularly, and running to distress :p), discover and cooking !
Proud to be european, I've got british ancestors and my family is from Spain (Catalunya, Pais Basco), England, Slovakia, Italy and Germany.
Nowadays, I live with my girlfriend, so we have a funny mix of languages at home French/Slovak/English. We both are fluent in english. We travel regularly and we love unusual places, road trips and backpacking.
I really like to discover and doing new stuffs and enjoy every day when i'm abroad.
My philosophy: I try to be better (and I don't intend to be anyway ;) and if the world can be saved, it is worth it to try !!!
I already started to change many aspects of my daily life: following the 5 "R": I don't buy plastic, i reduced meat, i do vermicompost at home, etc. I can explain you a lot of things that you can do at an individual level and very easily!
My goal:
Close to die, I hope I'll have visited all the countries of this marvelous world. (I have visited 50 of them so far, but the quantity isn't a goal, I prefer quality to quantity)
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like to offer my home to travellers (and cook them something traditionnal and delicious) as I was hosted so many times during travelling. I like to meet people who tell me their story, whatever they've done. It's also a great way to find travel companions.

Música, películas y libros
I love books! I especially appreciated "Leo the African" by Amin Maalouf for instance and I prefer historical novels or travels stories. I often read Nat Geo and some geopolitical newspaper.
I love anykind of music. It goes from Soulful to rap and hip-hop, metal, jazz, world, minimal tech, blues, Soul, rock, synthwave, etc... I like to bring back music from the countries I visit so we can exchange some. Last week i've listened to: Vitalic (poison lips), Manu Dibango (soul makossa), Alain Bashung (madame reve), Foo Fighters. And 2 great recent discoveries: 65daysofstatic (retreat! retreat! electro rock-progressive) and Todd Terje (it's a electro-funk-soul swedish DJ)
But 2 of my favourite bands are Nine Inch Nails and the Foo Fighters. I listen to them for more than 20 years...
I appreciate so many movies... but here's some: The Spanish Apartment (Pot Luck), The big lebowsi, Idiocracy, Fight Club, Slumdog millionar, La Haine, 007, The last samurai, 28 days later, Full metal jacket, Heat, In the name of the father, Babel, Road to perdition , Malcom X, Jackass, Avatar, Wolf of Wall-Street... and so so so many more from everywhere

Enseña, aprende, comparte
Make me discover your place, your country and I'll do the same for you.
I like people making efforts to make the world a bit better.I love to learn new languages or try my best to learn a bit of: it's funnier and it's like to make a step towards someone.
I recognize my girlfriend is a great source of inspiration because of the buddhist teachings she recieves: I'm not practising nor "believe", but I must admit there is some Buddhist principes I try to follow (not kill any living thing, don't get upset but understand, get rid of material things...)
Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones
At the moment i'm in the process to relocate from Slovakia to Prague and will be travelling until April/May/June, so I cannot host and i don't know how my home will be.
