Overview
About Me
I'm a lawyer from Montreal and I work with social entrepreneurs, artists, community groups and not-for-profit organisations. I work remotely and travel as much as possible. Present location is Salt Spring Island, British Columbia.
In my free time I like to enjoy good food with friends, hike, sail and explore the world around me.
When travelling, I prefer to spend extended periods in one place and experience what local residents do for fun and entertainment. For example, I spent almost two years in Kyoto Japan and my favourite memories are not of the tourist spots but of the hidden treasures: the local family restaurant with the value meal, the neighbourhood tea shop with the random cheap desert, the diversity of ramen noodle restaurants.... mmmm ramen. This is what I want to discover when I travel!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I spent 3 months in Hong Kong and Beijing and stayed with people I met through CS. I also went to the meetups and found people to do activities with. It was great!
When I was a student, I lived in a 16 person cooperative. We had couch surfers on a nightly basis. In fact, it was rare that we were less than 18.
Otherwise, I have not done a lot of "official" couchsurfing. Unofficially, I have stayed with friends all over and have had friends from all over stay with me. You are welcome!
Interests
I enjoy going to shows and restaurants when I am in my home town of Montreal. But when I travel abroad.... yeah, I pretty much still like going to shows and restaurants!
