About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Transform what I do from Monday to Friday into what I do from Saturday to Sunday

ABOUT ME

"All about you" would be probably boring and a little to much. So I will try to keep it simple.

Born in Germany, grew in Santiago de Chile and now back to the roots.

I see myself as a curious, interested and most of all active kind of guy. Growing up in Chile shaped the way I am today. But having German roots gave an interesting ingredient to the mix. My culture is south american but with some german elements here and there.

Well, what can I say, meeting people through CS made my life much easier and nicer, since I got to Germany in the beginning of 2009 and I didn't knew a soul.

Looking forward meeting you, however you are, wherever you come from, if you landed on this site, there has to be a reason to it ;).

PHILOSOPHY

I'm not a guy who likes to give advices or anything, but I guess if I had to pick a lifestyle or the way I see life, I would say, you probably gonna be happy as long you see smily faces in the people you love the most. Doesn't really matter how you do it, just do it (copyright Nike).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Mostly by travelling and being hosted by many lovely people. Here in Hannover giving tours, doing tandem and taking part of the CS comunnity. And finally by hosting travellers at my blue couch.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, my first approach was in Kassel, I got there and didnt really knew anyone, so I looked for people in couchsurfing...and gues what, I really made good friends, one of my best friends, Julia, we meet on CS :).

After that, while I was travelling through eastern europe I did CS on Warsaw Poland and I meet two really nice polish girls who were kind enough to take me and my other chilean friend for a couple of days.

Nowadays my experience consist in helping people that are travelling through Hannover in any way I can and organizing as well as taking part of many CS events.

Interests

Since I'm an Engineer I like structure:

1.- Media: I love movies. Actually if I had really studied what I wanted, I would probably be doing something related to the movie making industry. Since I'm not, I watch, talk, comment and philosophize about movies and tv series whenever I get the chance to meet someone who is also interested.

2.- Sports: An important and big part of my life. I try to practice several sports at least 4 times a week. It makes me happy, as simple as that. I keep it more or less traditional: preferred sports Soccer, Tennis and Running, but I'm actually interested in almost every single kind of sport.

3.- Music: If I could pick a time in history to experience music as a tennager, I would pick the 70'. "Stichwort" as the germans like to say: Pink Floyd, The Who, Rush, Neil Young, Yes and so on.

I also love to practice music since I play a little bit (this one I added recently, since I realised I have a hard time learning this)guitar and I love to sing, I keep it to karaoke untill I find a band who is interested in my services :D

4.- Dancing: I love dancing! specially paar dances. Salsa, bachata, tango argentino and lindy hop are the ones I'm dancing right now.

5.- Extras: of course I'm really interested in social activities with friends, any possible excuse to get together and have a big laugh is welcome. Cooking, playing games, sharing chees and wine and anything you can really come up with, should work with me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, since i come from Chile and we don't like really emancipate untill our folks kick us out of home, one of the most amazing rides for me has been learning how to live by myself :S...maybe it sounds lame, but it is truth...another thing...kissing Jennifer Connelly on the chick :D

Teach, Learn, Share

Let me think...well, first of all spanish language, that i could teach, then...freak tips about movies...mathematics and finance...its really fun if you had the right teacher...what i would love to learn is to cook, because i love to eat, but im pretty bad at cooking :P
