EDUCATION
*University (Durham) - in uni i learned who i am in the absence of everything familiar. i learned about loneliness, uncertainty, independence. i had my first glimpse of adulthood (completely terrified me btw^^'). i recently learned more about dreaming and less about thinking and more about doing and less about procrastinating - this gave birth to my first mantra: 'oooooom todaaaaay not tomorooooooow' !! (i'm excited to see how it goes)
* High school - in high school i learned about friendship. i had the wonderful opportunity to meet the people who helped shaping the person i am today. from them i understood what perseverance, ambition, patience, camaraderie and loyalty are. i learned how to be more empathetic and less selfish, i learned about authenticity and i learned good music.
EXPERIENCE
Some of my best experiences took place on a beach in Romania called Vama Veche (definitely go there). this is the place where i encountered some of the most weird, random, wise, interesting, talented, challenging individuals from all over the world. i heard stories about how they got there, what made them stay or return for many years, many of which i could relate to. i've seen that beach when it was sunny and foggy and when it was cold and raining, i've swam into that sea at 3 am and danced by the speakers till sunrise. i've slept on that beach in tents, sleeping bags, hammocks, chairs, cars, bars, roofs, beanbags and sand. i took trains, cars, busses or hitchhiked to this place. i've stayed for only one night or an entire month. i've shared with people yogurt, tuna, melons, tents and adventures. they've shared with me their cigarettes and past!!
SKILLS
i can cook quite well for the people i care about (secret dream to become a chef); i am a fast sudoku solver; i can sing but no one ever asks me to; i am good at revising for school last minute and pass; i am basic at tango; i can be funny; i am good at planning stuff and spending money on useless things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Even though I don't entirely get all this "couchsurfing spirit", I do believe that sometimes people will connect with complete strangers and share some really memorable moments and ideas. other times they will not, and sometimes people will try too hard to present their best sides and forget that they just have to be themselves!
I'm couchsurfing because I am optimistic about it being the first case. I've seen many people and learned lots of stuff from them: random, wise, useful, weird. So that's why!
Interests
Recently splitting my time between: graduating uni, tango on wednesdays, jazz on sundays, meeting friends, listening to music and watching a silly Romanian reality show (don't ask) ^^' ooh and sleep! i love psy music, festivals and people! i am a huge fan of tea and nowadays i am interested in learning more about plants and their healing purposes.

Teach, Learn, Share
I have a kalimba or mbira or thumb piano (aka the only instrument i can remotely play), made of a coconut shell from Bali and I bet you can learn how to play it in 5 minutes! If i can do it, you can!
Do you know how to play whist? If you do and you love it, just wait for the Romanian version! You will want to teach all your friends how to play!
I can additionally share some really awesome, 40% improvised cooking recipes and tell you lots of stories! I had some really crazy summers in my life!
I would really really like to share my music and all the cool memories behind them and tell you about my friends and our adventures!
