I loved everything I've read of Níkos Kazantzákis
I'm a huge movie fan so it's difficult to name just a few but let's say I enjoy just as much Christofer Nolan, Andrei Tarkovski, Wes Anderson and Lucian Pintilie or Luchino Visconti.

I can cite however the best movie I've seen the last 2 years in cinema : "Victoria" by Sebastian Schipper

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once saw a 10 hour long Shakespeare play and managed not to fall asleep more that two times :)
