why is it that it's always difficult to answer such questions?
like who I really am (?)
what I am doing on this Earth (?)
what I think my purpose is (?)

etc. etc.

I believe this is because it's never entirely complete to say that we are the sum, say, of our actions, or thoughts for that matter.
The idea that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts comes to mind.

However,
I guess I could say a few things about myself here.

I'm a regular type, run-of-the-mill man, I like most things that are worthwhile and I dislike most that aren't.
Educated in the U.K. and my home country, Greece.

I'm into technology in most of its forms; Computers and code and programming etc.. I've been at it since longer than I can remember; since I was 10, I think..

I'm currently working as a special consultant in SQL, in a small company of my choosing, in Athens.

I have travelled some, in my life so far; have seen some of this amazing world, not as much as I would have wanted, but hey, there is still time.

... ah, what else can I say here, I guess beyond this point it becomes a question of person-to-person connection, communication and conversation to get to know someone..

why I'm on couchsurfing..

haha, ok yes: the main reason is that, I want to try it, as I think it will contribute to the adventure of travelling. Also, because it seems different, very different to the impersonal experience of a hotel etc.. For when, of course, one is going to be travelling alone, which I often am.

So, it's a test; it's a try-out. If it works for me, then it does, we'll just have to see, won't we.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I love lots of sorts and kinds of music, but lately for party purposes I usually go with techno or tech-house music.
I do appreciate a wide variety of genres, for example the climax scene in an Opera, if correctly placed in context could make me cry, through to the other end of the arc, say an old and powerful greek song, derrived from the pain of common people could also touch me deeply.

movies.. ha ha.. I've liked hundreds, too many to list here.
I will state a few all-time favs, like Star Trek, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Det Sjunde Inseglet, The Shawshank Redemption.... way too many to list.

books as well.
But I could state a few unusual ones I guess: Whitefang, God And The New Physics, The Unbearable Lightness of Being..

Lehren, lernen, teilen

In my work, or in life, I've taught or I've shared a wide range of stuff.

For example, I've taught Civil Engineers the use of interactive visual project control tools at work, when I was travelling back and forth to the Middle East.

Or I've taught my best friend to appreciate life.

Or I've shared a 16 y o single mault with another friend, off of the edge of the clif overlooking Athens the night before he was going to rellocate to .. well.. to very far away..

I suppose the most obvious answer would be, computer expertise.

but hey, maybe they'll be more interested to just sit on a balcony and contemplate eternity over a fine glass of.. well anything as long as it's not sweet. I hate sweet drinks. :P
