Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Thinking back to why I first joined Couchsurfing is difficult, but I’m more than happy to share why I’m still here. Over the years, I’ve hosted many travelers in different places I’ve called home. Each guest—unique in their own way—has reminded me time and time again of the joy that comes from genuine human connection.
Whether we keep in touch regularly or not, whether we stay up late sharing stories or simply enjoy each other’s presence, every experience takes me back to the excitement of my very first year as a host. It reminds me of a time before smartphones, when we had to be fully present, truly open, and wholeheartedly share our thoughts and experiences.
Every time a dear guest leaves my home, there’s a fleeting moment when I think about pausing my account, wondering if I’ll ever have another experience quite as special. But, of course, I’m still here.
And now, I’m waiting for you. I look forward to meeting you and creating our own unique Couchsurfing memories together.
This is why I’m on Couchsurfing.
