ABOUT ME

I'm kind of eclectic. I'm really outgoing and basically just looking to have fun in every situation. Life, love, work, play. I'm not hardcore into anything. I'm just me. Kind of hardcore Heather I guess. I realized recently, a realization provoked by my friend Dario, that I don't have a scene. You know the phrase, "that not my scene"? Well I don't have a scene, and so far I haven't found a scene that I don't enjoy.

Things to note:

My favorite thing to do is laugh.
I am NOT cool but I AM fun to be around.
I don't lie.

The best present I ever recieved as a kid was a giant box of tootsie pops from my aunt Theresa and uncle Jeff.

PHILOSOPHY

I've realized and embraced the fact that my place in this world is small. The good I am here to do isn't anything large scale. I'm not here to lead peace rallies or organize marches. I'm here to change the lives of the people I meet on a daily basis. On a small individual personal level, with a smile or a hug or a laugh. I surely won't stop world hunger or save the world. But I am 100% confident that I am making it a better, brighter, more positive place...every single day. And that, for me, it what its all about.

Interests

Its far easier to list things that I am NOT interested in than to list those I am interested in.

I'm not interested in tv. I'm not interested in fashion. I'm not interested in politics. I realize that politics are important and I should pay more attention, but I just don't like 'em.

I love learning so anything I don't know much about usually captivates me. Luckily, I don't know a whole lot so there is plenty to learn!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music. I love the effect it has on my mood and my thoughts and often, even my actions. I like all kinds of music. No one seems to believe me when I say this and I'm not sure why. I like anything from oldies, to punk, to country (my heart lies with country), to jazz, to reggae, to metal. It depends on the mood and the situation. So dont try to make me choose. Its like chocolate. I like chocolate ice cream, chocolate milk, chocolate cake, chocolate candy. No one thinks that is weird. Music is the same. No matter what form, I just like music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen a moonbow. It happened just a few weeks after I learned that moonbows existed. Its like a rainbow but its at night. It was a far more moving experience than I can describe here.

One time, I peeled and ate a banana with my feet for the talent show at the kids camp my parents and I run. It was pretty damn amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teaching and sharing - I'm not great at many things. But I am decent at lots of things. I can share my positive attitude and energy and my experiences. But more importantly, I can teach you how to make a cake in the microwave using a can of soda and a cake mix.
