I'm Melbourne born-and-bred, but I have been living in Samoa on and off for a few years (small island nation in the Pacific. No, not Somalia.) I work in media and communications and went over there to do development work and then just kept going back. I always thought of myself as a city person but there's something about small-town island life that just keeps drawing me back...

I'm inquisitive and open-minded. I like a good read and interesting conversations. I like to dance (often badly) and see live soul, jazz, hiphop, reggae and blues. I'm a fashion tragic whose outfits are often strange and regrettable. I like the outdoors - a good walk, kayak or snowboard...or more accurately, periods of snowboarding in between falling over.

I'm about to spend a few months travelling through Iran, Turkey and Eastern Europe, three places I've never been (with the exception of Berlin and Prague, which I visited in 2009 and loved). Favourite past destinations include Brazil, Spain, India and Laos.

Keen to meet people along my travels who can show me what life's like in their corner of the world. When I'm back in Samoa or Melbourne, I'd be happy to show people around and host if I have space.
