About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To experience as much as possible, as rockingly as possible. Right now that means visiting Japan and living there for at least 1 year.

ABOUT ME

Being an adult is pretty great. It basically seems to mean that I'm even better at enjoying myself than when I was younger. I'm more responsible about it, seemingly without doing much less of it.

PHILOSOPHY

I live to be happy. I'm happy with 90% of what I have, which isn't a whole lot, and hopefully I'll have at least 8% more by the end of the year. Lots of situps, lots of writing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My roommate, Rose Grenier, has a very active CouchSurfing account, so I have met a lot of people from a lot of places.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have crashed at friends' and relatives' houses in the past. Have yet to CouchSurf with the capital letters, but I've helped host and entertain lots of people.

Interests

I love most people and things. I write poetry and play music, but movies, art, dancing, playing foosball, fascinating conversations, the occasional hike, and just hanging out are all good things too.

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything and everything. My favorites at this moment: Movies: The Good The Bad and The Ugly, The Thin Man, Mystery Men, Pulse (the original one). Music: Eats Everything, Black Moth Super Rainbow, Daft Punk, Of Montreal, Feist, Kanye West, Jason Forrest. Books: Short stories of Nathaniel Hawthorne, the poetry of John Dryen, anything by Italo Calvino.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Out in the woods of Maine, miles from civilization, discovered the rusting hulk of an 80's era MG convertable.

Teach, Learn, Share

Would love to introduce people to music and movies they're unfamiliar with, can teach foosball and DJing techno and house music.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can show you all kinds of awesome underground music and film going on in the US right now, especially electronic music. It's kind of my thing right now. I'm also just a lot of fun to have around.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Peru, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
