ABOUT ME

My name is Marion. People describe me as calm and friendly, although I don't feel particularly calm. I like to observe, maybe that's why. I like to learn and speak languages. I often talk to people in the street or in public transports (not in a stalking kind of way though). I try to be optimistic and respectful towards others. Environment is important to me: not to waste energy or food, to eat meat very rarely, to buy only what I need. I feel most comfortable when I create things with my hands. In my free time I draw and paint. I also like to cook and bake - and to eat of course :). Making food is similar to painting, you have to use all your senses. I like that.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I enjoy being with people from other places. I like to discover other ways to live and other points of view. Couchsurfing is a good way to connect and to learn from others. I joined the project in 2014. I regret that I didn't join earlier – I think it was more alive in the past than it is nowadays. Hopefully Couchsurfing will revive and more people will start discussions, organize meetings and participate with real interest.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I went to live in another country without speaking the language and without having a job at first. It was sometimes difficult but on the whole it was a good experience and I learned a lot, not least about myself.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I like to hear stories (your own ones, films, books, ...) I'd like to learn more about history, politics, economy, geography, philosophy, physics, astronomy, classical music and opera.
What I can teach: my favourite recipes, Yoga exercises against an aching back, French or German, drawing, painting, sculpturing.
