Since 5.8.2012, a group of youngsters from Iqrit decided to bring life back to our displaced village Iqrit.
Iqrit is located in the Upper Galilee region of the north, a village with the same story as the other villages displaced in 1948 and is considered a vital part of our struggle to return as Palestinians in Palestine or abroad.
There was nothing left in the village except for the cemetery that is still active until this day, there is also the church that considered today an important center for our struggle and prayers after the demolition of the village on Christmas Eve 1951. In it we hold our activities and masses all year in order to keep the village and its heritage kicking and alive against occupation and displacement.

For over 65 years, the people of the village never left the land of Iqrit, and have tried everything in order to keep the case alive in Palestine and abroad. Their loyalty and struggle have benefited the case at times, but the most important thing is that the people have stayed on their ancestors' lands alive all this time.
Here we are, sons and daughters of the 3rd generation of Iqrit, still walking in the path of struggle and resistance, continuing what our ancestors have started with their support and assistance, generation after another, escalating the struggle to stay on our land no matter what all year.

We believe as sons and daughters of Iqrit in our natural right to live on our ancestors' land that even the State of Israel has recognized twice in court. We know that it is hard to fullfill the right of return in the current circumstances, but we also know that the particularity of our case as refugees inside this land gives us the great responsibility of struggling for our and everybody's return.
We invite everyone to come and support us and our right to live on our land in Iqrit. Our path of struggle is full with obstacles but our ancestors' struggle gave us the hope we needed to continue demanding our right of return, with the help of every person who wishes to.
Your support encourages us to go on and rebuild every displaced village in Palestine, starting from Iqrit.
For that, we expect from people in Palestine and abroad to stand with us so justice would be made. We accept every person or people or organization that believes in our struggle for the right of return.
