About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travelling as much as possible before the world ends (dec. 21st 2012 -according to the Mayas, lol)
ABOUT ME
I'll take more time to talk about me. In the meanwhile, I love teaching, cooking, playing the guitar, learning languages, reading and writing (short-stories and romans mainly, as well as plays) travelling, acting, meeting people and getting to know new places, habits, traditions and all that the world can offer.
PHILOSOPHY
If I go to sleep and I realise that I could help somebody and that I didn't hurt anybody, then I can say that this day was worth living. (If I had a nice cup of coffee and a smoke, it was even worthier!)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm sorry I can't host people, I don't have enough room; nevertheless, I enjoy knowing people and hanging out from time to time (I work from 9 to 9, Mon-Fri, which leaves very little room for myself).
Whenever I can participate, I can take people to some places that might be of interest for them. Near Xalapa there are lots of really nice places to visit!
In case of an urgent need I could (maybe) host a person, but this is not really certain. Also, I can offer some assistance in case of any emergency for people travelling in Xalapa.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Not officially on this page, but many friends from other places (people that I know in person) have stayed over at home and they've always felt really comfortable (except for me because I always offer my bed! lol).
Interests
I'm deeply interested in literary translation (my first translation into Spanish has been published - I translated Brown's Overlay: A Tale of One Girl's Life in 1970's Las Vegas, Indie Award winning book: Overcoming Adversity. +70,000 copies sold in 2013).
I'm presently translating Big as all Hell and Half Texas as well.
I enjoy legal translation, literary research and academic research.
At present I'm seeking admission at some universities in England to pursue a Ph.D. Degree in TEFL or Education, or an MA program in US Literature. Let's see how it goes! :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Swimming in the Normandy coast at -1 celsius degrees last October! wohooo!
Remembering today (october 15th) that in 2011 I swam in Normandy :'( I haven't done anything amazing lately! Damn! It's time to start over again! :D
Teach, Learn, Share
I like showing people the surroundings of the city (when I have time :'( of course). I like learning about cooking and teaching about cooking. I also like listening to people whenever they feel sad or bad. I know how to keep my mouth shut and -if required- I like offering advice, just in the same way that I have accepted and thanked those who have provided me with some.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share ammm... eh... food? :D I don't know, it depends of how well we get along, I guess. :D
