About Me

To everyone:

(I can only host weekends: Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday)

I would like to be able to describe myself in words.. but I am changing everyday and so to write something now would be silly because I would have to change it tomorrow. Either way basing myself strictly in what my friends say I am: very fun and outgoing, open to anything, non judgmental, trustworthy, creative, resourceful and way too mature for my young age.. with this last one I always have difficulty since what does it really mean to be "mature" and so I never know if its a good thing or a bad thing since I believe children know how to enjoy and appreciate things so amazingly well. They also say I am crazy in the best possible way.. to this statement I usually smile because I always look back to what Lewis Carroll wrote on this topic.

Sometimes I believe I am not afraid of anything because of the things I've done and I've dared to do but then sometimes I think I am afraid of everything because of how much thought I give to things at times.

I enjoy to write more than anything... and I enjoy to know people enough as to feel that they've left something of theirs in me once they leave.... it could be anything, an idea, a joke, a new word...any new knowledge is something I particularly search for :)

I like to cook even if the only 4 things I know how to do well are scramble eggs, pancakes, tomato soup and lasagna... but I will try my best to learn new dishes!

Lastly...
Something that this past year hit me like a train was this :

'Something doesn't have to last forever for it to be beautiful'

Certain things happened that taught me that I shouldn't wish for a forever because permanency has nothing to do with happiness. Something that could last a lifetime could make you eternally unhappy while something that took only a few seconds could bring you a joy that will stay with you till the day you no longer breathe. With this in mind I now enjoy much more the present and try not to think so much on the future of things.

To hosts:
I recently graduated from college and before grad school I wish to learn more than just academics. I am looking to leave my nest and to discover and experience new things, learn from different cultures, meet different people and help as much as I can. I am 22 years old and so I think now it's an "ok" age to start traveling the world...I've been wanting to do this ever since I can remember. It has never been as a tourist though, I have always envisioned myself visiting places long enough for me to really feel what it is that makes it magical. Yes, I am young. A very wise women always used to say that I was an 'old soul', I believe that with that she meant my level of understanding was not parallel with my age, I am just writing this because I want you to have a good idea of who I am (I'll be staying at your place soo its kind of good right?) and I truly believe she was right.

And like Bill Nye said..."Everyone you will ever meet knows something you don't"... I truly believe so... I am open to everything.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Lately because of the cultures I met and the experiences I lived I realized I know nothing when I thought I knew some. Meeting people teaches me more than any other thing I manage to do (even reading books).

Interests

I like to sketch, read and write in my journal... yeah I posses glasses.

I want to start dancing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've loved and learned with no restrictions.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well my major was psychology..so let's just say I have a strong base on it... but not the tradicional one (Freud, Adler, Jung, etc.) more like the eco-psychology or things like the laughter therapy are of my favorites... I believe healing comes from within, and I only want to help people in the process and in turn learn from them. This is just something kind of like an extra of me.. maybe not exactly something that fits in this area of the profile... but who knows what's right or wrong anyway, right?

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm always sharing stories and experiences, I love when people learn things through my tales.
