About Me

Oi :) I'm originally from Brazil and have been slow traveling since 2017 when I took my first international trip to Chile. From 2019 to 2021, I was an au pair in the USA and now I’m in Austria! I work remotely so I'm spending a few months in Europe.

Please note: Couchsurf for me it's a cultural exchange and to make new friends. Def not a dating platform, and I hope you feel the same way. It's unfortunate that some women receive inappropriate messages here, so respect is a must.

I know my profile isn't verified yet as I just reactivated it after a long break. You can find me on Instagram @irdgs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm trying to make the best of my time in Europe, including short solo trips around and Couchsurfing is just perfect to do that! I've met so many great people on here already and I'm so glad :)

Interests

I grew up in Ubatuba, a beautiful, touristic town on the North Shore of São Paulo, Brazil. I have fond childhood memories of going to the beach, listening to music, spending time with friends and family, and cooking. I still love to do all that.

Photography is both part of my job and one of my favorite hobbies. I love everything related to art—music, singing, cinema, concerts, and museums. When I travel, I like to go with the flow, I'm loving to see some capitals but also love to be in the nature.

Music, Movies, and Books

My playlist is probably one of the most diverse you'll ever find! I love brazilian music. I love the traditional forró and mpb but I also listen to rap a lot. In the other I have the best Beyonce hits + Careless Whisper playing out loud ahahahaha

I learned to watch horror movies not long ago. I love Harry Potter. But have you ever watched Coco? Yes, the Disney movie! That one always makes me cry!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The first thing that comes to my mind is the first time I saw the Northen Lights. Traveling to Alaska was an amazing experience I'll never forget.
Second = being an au pair in the US. I was very young and left my home all by myself to live for 1 year in a stranger's house. I'm so lucky it was an amazing moment in my life even with the covid pandemic.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm SO open to learn new things. And I really think that we learn even more when we teach.
I am of course willing to teach English/Portuguese (even our funny sayings or bad words if you'd like) , share some of my culture, making some brazilian delicious food and make core memories!
