Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
We want to travel as much as possible before we have to "settle down."
ABOUT ME
We just returned from 2 years living in Japan as English teachers. We're back in our hometown, working hard and trying to figure out where we'll land next. We love meeting cool new people, and had a great time with the couchsurfers we had in Japan, so we're hoping to continue hosting people here in the States!
PHILOSOPHY
Melissa: My mother has a phrase that she uses regularly and I like: "Live every day to its fullest. Be the best that you can be."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We're willing to host anyone, including showing you the sights and sounds of Paducah!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Hosted twice in Japan. I know it doesn't sound like much but we were WAAAAAY off the beaten path so we were pretty proud of the number we got.
Interests
Melissa- Where to start?? I would say that my two biggest passions in life are writing (short stories and my blog) and traveling. I want to see the world while I'm young!
Ian- traveling, learning about different cultures, technology, wine, gaming, German, motorcycles, etc, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Melissa- Blarg. How can I choose just one? We went to Forks, Washington for our honeymoon. Ian understands my obsession with Twilight and indulges me. :D
Ian- Not to brag, but I do have an awesome proposal story. I proposed to Melissa on the banks of the Bodensee in Bregenz, Austria. It was unplanned but magical.
Teach, Learn, Share
Ian: I work at a winery, so if you are interested at all in the wine making process (it's way easier than you think) you could learn a lot about it from me.
Countries I’ve Visited
Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Portugal, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, United States, Vatican City State
Countries I’ve Lived In
