About Me
Hello,
I am İrem from İstanbul, Turkey. I am 23 years old woman and an undergrad student in law and philosophy in Koç University. When I was younger, we have travelled a lot in Turkey, so I am used to be on roads :) It sounds strange to flatter ownself but I believe I am quite easygoing. I really like sharing moments and collecting new experiences and stories. I believe that we are all in a flow and what matters in this flow is to touch others as much as possible. I prefer to be with others instead of on my own. If that would be a job interview, I would get 10 out 10 as a group people :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Differences are what make us stronger. I am not afraid of differences and diversities. Instead, I would love to learn more about which I am not. I do not like touristic visits held by a tourism agency. I prefer to visit less touristic, more local places and this is the one thing that these agencies never provides you. I think that via couchsurfing, I can learn more about the real city and I can know more abour the real people.
Interests
I am producing theatre plays, currently with a theatre company based in İstanbul. Besides theatre plays, cinema also occupies a significant room in my life. I am not only an spectator, but also interested in deconstructing what I watch. I am more interested in independent people who are not constrained by the industry. I am Lindy Hopping and I feel that the jazz music matches with my inner vibes :) Travelling is a habit for me, I want to experience cities and countries as many as possible before not being able to.

Music, Movies, and Books
It is really hard to tell one thing as my favourite and my favourite is always changing but I suppose that the movie "Call Me By Your Name" by Luca Guadagnino has become my new favourite. With the movie, I have become more open not to articulate things in my own manner, there are more paths to follow that I have not experienced yet. I am also interested in introducing Turkish cinema to people because I think we are really doing good stuff. :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was doing hiking in the Black Sea region of Turkey, we rode on the top of an off-road vehicle, on a narrow, steep , and winding road next to cliffs.
