Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
The evacuated region (Maraş region) in Famagusta, Northern Cyprus. The neighborhood was evacuated during the war period and now it's under the control of UN army and Turkish army. It's forbidden to walk through the neighborhood and take photos. Since my father is retired from Turkish army, I had the chance to see there. It was amazing to see a ghost town, houses with all the furniture and even curtains in it, full emptiness, no people, no life... 10 years ago, even the bullet holes were there on the walls of hotel buildings but last year I saw that they were repainted.
