About Me

I'm doing my MA at Lund University in Middle Eastern Studies, Sweden. I like talking about politics, sociology, philosophy, music, movies, art. I really like meeting new people and talking about controversial issues, as Bauman said: "Real dialogue isn’t about talking to people who believe the same things as you." This might be my motto!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking forward to tasting your favorite local meal, having a nice chat in your favorite spot and see how life goes on your side. I had many CS experiences and I had a great time. I am still in touch with many of my CS friends, they are all amazing people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all the movies containing music and traveling. I like reading Jack Kerouac and J. D. Salinger over and over again.
I'm quite obsessed with 60's music. But now I am adjusting myself to the 21 century by listening some folk and indie.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Solo backpacking in South America for two months was the best decision I've ever made (even though I was terrified in the beginning).

Teach, Learn, Share

I sang in the Voice of the Civilizations Choir, we sing in several languages, mostly local ballads. Maybe I can teach you some folk songs. And also I do theatre, it can be fun more than acting because of the practices we are doing before getting started: gestures, body exercises and little games etc.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Since it's my area of study, in case you might wonder anything about politics in Turkey or elsewhere in the region, I will try my best to explain it to you. Also, Sweden has taught me to cook for myself (it's expensive af) so I might cook for you. Even though I forgot a lot, I might play a few tunes with my ukulele (I'm planning to practice more from now on).
