About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

I was born in St.Petersburg and lived most part of my life there and worked in tourism. I love traveling and when I was in my twenties I had a chance to spend a lot of time in Italy in a French family so i speak English,French and poco Italiano. I easily get along with different people so I use CS quite often especially if I'm on the road to a new country.
In 2014 I decided to change my life radically so I quit my job, bought a one way ticket and went on a trip to explore Asia! I met a lot of super interesting people, got to know new cultures and traditions and had incredible adventures.
And in 2015 i decided to do smth crazy again so in September I packed my suitcase and came to Beijing to work as an English teacher. Inspite of some difficulties on my way I don't regret that I did it. It was a big challenge as i didn't speak a word of chinese and it's really hard to learn, the country is different from any place where I've lived before but that what made my life there amazing and exciting.
In 2020 I got stuck in Thailand during covid pandemic and volunteered there to help street dogs in Krabi province.
And here I am in 2023 in Da Nang. I liked the city very much,I've met many wonderful people here so i decided to settle down for a while.
UPDATE:
At the moment I have a very busy work schedule so I can only meet on Sunday and maybe Monday. And I can't host anyone. But we have a big group of couchsurfers here, drop me a message and I'll connect you with them. Or I can give my recommendations of places where I like to hang out.

PHILOSOPHY

If you want to be somebody really special, be yourself.

Take risks not to escape life but to prevent life from escaping you!

Music, Movies, and Books

music- depends on the mood. I like classical music but also electronic music.

books- very different: Brave New World; We; Eat, pray love; Life of Pi... The book that really made me cry and reconsider my life is Grace and Grit by Ken Wilber. Also I highly recommend to read the books of Yuval Noah Harari, the great historian of our time and his books "Sapiens" and "Homo Deus".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Finally got courage to give up all that bothered me in Russia and went for a backpacking trip to Asia with a one way ticket in my pocket. Volunteered at Hare Krisna temple and farm, spent amazing time in Philippines islands swimming with turtles, took part in a charity project in Indonesia , volunteered at a local street dog's shelter in Krabi Thailand, worked at a ski resort in Georgia.
In 2022 I've done the whole Lycian way in Turkey (550 km) and spent 1.5 month living in a tent.
