We are Irene and Alex!

I (Irene) am from the Netherlands and Alex is from Canada. 7 years ago we met on Aruba in the Caribbean and recently realized our dream of moving there. In Canada, Alex was a fire fighter for 10 years and we started a paddle board company together. For the next 10 months we are travelling around Australia with our van :)
We are 30 and 33 years old. We host regularly on Airbnb and Home Exchange and are respectful to you and your home! We are clean, can cook a nice meal, and are always in for a beer. But we go to bed early ;) Yes, we are not THAT young anymore....

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I(Irene) used to couch surf a lot when I was travelling alone through Australia in my 20s. Some I still keep in touch with 10 years later!! It is always such a great way to meet amazing people that you would normally never meet! Alex and I have also couch surfed in Canada and the USA together. We enjoy hearing your stories, and experiencing your way of life: that's what travelling is all about for us!

I (Irene) am a windsurfer and wing foiler and I teach both these sports in the Caribbean. Wing foiling is my passion! Alex also wing foils and he is a Dive Master.
