About Me

I am a 20 yo girl from Italy who would like to make memories taking the best from every situation!
I can't wait to live my fist couchsurfing experience! I have always believed in people's reciprocal kindness and the journey I am planning will be a sort of arrival point of this belief, I hope it will confirm that most people are worthy to be known; i won't hide it, I'm a bit scared of starting this adventure, both because I'm a bit shy at first impact and maybe people won't even consider to host me, ending up in a stressfull experience more than a one to remember; but you know, obeying to fear is not the right way to grow and built memories so here I am!
I study Genomics (an international course related to Genetics and Informathics) at the University of Bologna.
I am a great listener and I'm everyday amazed of how people can be interesting and surprising.

I usually have an hard time decribing my personality and interests in few lines since everyone told I am a multy-faceted person, but I think it's a good things since I can find something in common almost with everyone! In general, I am a joyous and active person who loves having deep conversations and who always tries to undestand others. It can seem in contradiction with my interest in people, but I also love to spend time alone.
I like to deeply question everything in order to build my personal ideas, but I am open to "updating" them everytime I have the chance to listen to someone who expose different ideas! I really love to listen, rather than talk myself, to people discussing about interesting topics, in order to better observe both points of view.
The places that usually left me astonished are the natural and quite wild beauties like mountains, lakes, valleys, green hills, high coasts; I go hiking since I was a child!
I am also quite creative and I've always loved to reuse, repair, create objects from everyday life.
I am against any kind of discrimination ☮

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I visit a new place and I just wander around saying "oh how beautiful" I feel like I'm not living that experience to the fullest, since people are a great part of a city's identity; so with couchsurfing I want to start making new experiences balancing the wandering-around-alone moments with time spent learning from and having fun with local people!

Unfortunately now I can't host anyone since the house in which I live it's not mine, but If you want information about the city feel free to ask!

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to almost all kind of music so if you want to le me know new music you are welcome!

Can't tell which movies or books are my favourite, since there are too many and really various, but I can say I still have many ones to watch and read.
For instance, the range of movies I like goes from Captain Fantastic to Mamma mia to Marvel movies to Star Wars to Les Miserables to serious movies about history to Blade Runner to Disney.
I'm not so into detective stories but I'm not the kind of person that avoid a good film just because it's a detective story.
The best book I recently read it's called "The Dinasty", an historical novel.
Some series, anime and shows I loved are The Big Bang Theory, Grace and Frankie, Attack on Titan, Srubs, Atypical, Orange is the New Black, QeerEye,The Good Place, Stranger Things, RuPaul's Drag Race, New Girl...

One thing: I'm scared to death by any kind of horror story!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hike a glacier, ending eye-sunburned, but it was totally worth it

Managed to drive down a mountain street after a little time I got my patent, with all my friends in the car.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can tell you about the topics of my course, about Marvel movies and how much I love open-air places, but I really prefere listening to others rather than speak so feel free to tell me about everything you want!
I'd love to talk about our cultures and our previous travel experiences, but also about anything else! Seriously, there are really few things I consider not interesting.
I can teach you to cook some italian food (I'm not a good cook but I can do a good Pasta at least) and I'll be happy to learn about your local food!

What I Can Share with Hosts
