About Me

Hi, my name is Irene and I plan on traveling with my friend Elena. I am Spanish and Elena is British but has lived in Spain her whole life apart from 5 years that she lived in the United States. I am 19 and Elena is 18.

ELENA: I am 18 years old, I was born in Madrid, Spain but my parents are both British (my mother from Manchester and my father from London), I lived in Madrid until I was 2 years old and then me and my family moved to Silicon Valley, California. We lived there for 5 years, after that I went back to Madrid.
I am currently living in the South of France for my gap year, I am working as an Au Pair, teaching kids English while learning the French language and about the French culture.
Next year I am going to move to England to begin my university studies, I plan on studying psychology.
As you can tell I have a mixture of lots of cultures and traditions, also I speak both English and Spanish fluently and I am learning French this year.
IRENE Hi I’m irene. I was born in Madrid Spain and I have lived here most part of my life. I love to travel and i have been in lots of countries. I have studied arts, and now im in a gap year, im earning Money to continue my studies next year, im

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to travel all arround the world, but we all know that it's expensive, and this a really good alternative to save money and to meet local people. The best way to travel is to really be immersed in their lifestyle and their culture, the way to do that is meeting people from the country and living how they live for a few days. You don't get the real cultural experience staying in a hotel or a hostel.
Also we really enjoy meeting new people, learning about different customs and points of view. We are used to the mindset we have grown up with but every country has their different traditions and ways of thinking, this is what we are interested in learning, the different perspectives on life around the world.

Interests

Go out and meet new people, travel, discover new cultures and lifestyles. We like to party and have a good time!

ELENA: I love music, I love discovering and sharing music and I listen to all types of music. I currently play football, but I love almost all sports, I also do longboard and I used to do tennis. I like being outside, in the city or in the nature, for me they both have their beauty and interesting aspects. I love music festivals and other events where people just have a good time together
forgetting about all their other worries! I also enjoy trying different foods from all over the world (although I am not a huge fan of fish...). I love swimming and relaxing on a beach. I am also a member of a scout group where we camp and do lots of fun activities. I also am interested in philosophy and other peoples different views on life.

IRENE: I love doing sports, y climb, and I love it because I can be in contact with nature. I also play tennis and judo.
I love nature and I am in a scout group since I was 12. Scouts taught me to respect and enjoy the nature and have a good time playing.
I love all kinds of art too, I draw and I love doing photography and sculpture.
I like museums and this kind of things, but I love going out too.
i want to travel all over the world to know cultures and to learn about other styles of life.
