About Me
Hi :) I'm Irene and I come from Italy, but I've been living and studying in Erlangen since October.
Who am I? This question is kind of tricky. If I had to define myself I would say that I am curious about everything, I really love to listen to people and feel connected in some way.
What else? The proper dose of "italian temperament": if I see that I am on the same wave with someone I tend to be very friendly and use a loooot of sarcasm (I write it down so you can be ready for when it happens).
Traveling is one of my biggest passion, but still I haven't traveled as much as I'd want to: at the moment I am planning to finish my bachelor degree and then who knows, the world is so big that I don't even know myself where I could start from.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Well, I must admit I am new here. Anway, I think I've got a simple answer: I don't like going to the travel agency and plan the "perfect" vacation, in a "perfect" hotel and going around with the "perfect" tourist guide.
I am much more interested in the essence of the city, even if just for three days- it doesn't matter: I want to "feel" not just to "see" things, I want to explore hidden corners, I want to meet local people and new cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: My first love was Florence and the Machine, growing up I fell in love with Radiohead and Thom Yorke. I think they kind of changed my perspective on music and thanks to them I've started a relationship with electronic music. Nowadays I've been listening to a lot of indie, chill music and progressive rock.
I am open to discover new music genres, so feel free to suggest me :)
Film: I like watching films with a meaning and I tend to prefer indipendent one. My favourite director is Xavier Dolan: I've recently discovered him, but his films are 100% my type. One important thing: I don't like fantasy and horror films (I am sorry, I hope didn't hurt anyone too deep)
Books: "Difficult loves" by Italo Calvino. This book is not that famous neither in Italy nor in the rest of the world, but it tought me a lot. (I won't explain it here, because it would be too long)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would say "to be listened" without prejudice (even if you like pizza with pineapple)
