Hey there!

I'm an italian girl studying Film at Edinburgh Napier University.
I like meeting new people, having a good debate and a good laugh! I also appreciate solitude. I'm introspective but outgoing at the same time (does it make sense?). Always looking for new experiences, I love discovering new places and looking at things by different perspectives. Most of the times, it's all a matter of angles and lenses to me (in life as in cinema!).

I love sports, nature, and outdoor activities. I played rugby for years (union and sevens) and I love boxing, even though I'm not an expert. Hiking, mountain biking and kayaking are big passions of mine. They set me free from the senselessness of the city.

I constantly listen to music. I listen to everything but pop. I love going to concerts and festivals when I have the possibility! I nurture myself with poetry and philosophy. I also love handcrafting and anything related to creativity (including cooking!). I am a bit obsessed with surrealism, rubber ducks and soap bubbles. And crème brulée, my biggest love ever.

I'd be happy to cook some italian/international dishes together for dinner!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling, I have a nomad lifestyle. I'd like to be a documentarist and film everything I see when I travel. My camera is my third eye, my inner eye! I think couchsurfing is a very interesting way of discovering places and meeting people.

I'm a bookworm. The simplest and deepest books are my favourite ones, anyway: Le petit prince, L'homme qui plantait des arbres, Jonathan Livingston Seagull, Siddharta. I also love war narrative and in general, I love whatever makes me uncomfortable. Herta Muller, Hosseini, Primo Levi, Helga Schneider,Dostoevskij...

About movies, my favourite filmmakers are Werner Herzog, Jean-Luc Godard and Alejandro Jodorowsky. I also appreciate Buñuel, Coppola, Kim Ki-Duk, Wes Anderson, Tarantino, Xavier Dolan, Ozu, Moretti, Von Trier.

As I listen to new music each week it's hard to write what I like. I'm very passionate about it. I listen to all the genres as long as it 'tastes' good. The only thing I don't easily listen to is pop, it has to be experimental pop or quite particular otherwise I wouldn't. I played the piano myself, and I tried to play the guitar. I'd love to learn how to play the banjo!
