About Me

| Currently in Cortaccia working as a Marketing Account in Rothoblaas |

"The very basic core of a man’s living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun."
This is the philosophy of Christopher McCandless and definitely also mine.

About me?
I'm Irene, an italian girl. My hometown is Trento, a small but beautiful city in the middle of the mountain, in the north of Italy. To attend the university I have lived for two years in Venice and I definitely fell in love with that city, the canals and the atmosphere, if you have not visited it, just go there to lose yourself in the small venetian calles.

I have studied Chinese at 厦大 in Xiamen, I lived in that small island for an year (2016/2017) then in September 2018 I have decided to move again but in 西南大学 in Chongqing in order to study for six months economy and Chinese.
Fortunately I found the right time to travel and to discover the big Asia and the culture so different from mine. This year was awesome and really at first it can be described as a "jump into the void" but I am happy to have done it. I think the new experiences are one of the most important part of our life: we have to throw ourself to in order to be always alive.
After the master degree in chinese and economy in Ca' Foscari University (Venice) and two internship in Tallinn and Berlin, I came back to my hometown and I currently work as a Project Manager in a web marketing agency.

I believe that the people can really give you a lot, "the people make the travel", and now I am who I met during my life.
You can really grow up with a simple smile of an unknown person, or a meal offered along your way, or just an indication given from a pedestrian.
The people make you feel better, make you feel alive.
And this is the reason why I'm here, to meet all of you, to share my experiences and to learn more listening yours.

So, in short I have to say that I believe in friendship and in love between the people. I always try to see only the best in everyone and hope that others do the same with me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Why not?

Couchsurfing, I think, is a way to constantly unsettle and expand your perception of the world.

Interests

One of my best hobby is taking photo. I really like going out with only a camera and a small backpack and take a walk through the streets or small venetian canals to take a photo of sunset, sunrise, some masks or simply a small child with her mother.
Here you can find some of my photos: https://500px.com/cuccuruccu or https://www.flickr.com/photos/cuccuruccu/

I love running, especially in the mountains. I wake up at dawn and my day starts with a quick run up Mount Brione or along the Ponale trail in Riva del Garda. I have always been in love with wind.

Definitely love it.
