ABOUT ME

I graduated from college in May and got an awesome job in Seattle working with teens as a mentor and environmental educator! I'm originally from Michigan and lived in California, but I am currently loving the beautiful Washington outdoors and the laid back Seattle culture. I also like to cook, do yoga, backpack, travel, learn languages, and have awesome conversations over games and drinks :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started surfing while I travelled around Turkey and western Europe last summer, and now I'm really enjoying hosting people at my new lovely home in Seattle! Check out my boyfriend Matt Solimano's CS page too...we live together so you can ask either of us to stay!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed in Turkey and Amsterdam--looking forward to having new experiences all the time, whether travelling or hosting! This fall my house has hosted a bunch of people and they've all been great.

Interests

MOUNTAINS! particularly hiking, backpacking, kayaking, Rivers, oceans, trees, lakes, cacti, yoga, bikes, writing, reading, cooking, people, great pizza, thai food, traveling, and my job where I get to teach teens about why I love all of these things!

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh these say a lot about a person...
Favorite movies...Anything by Wan Kar Wai, Volver, motorcycle diaries, anything with gael garcia bernal in it. I love seeing movies, even if I don't end up liking them.
Favorite books (so many) include the Brief and Wondrous life of Oscar Wao, anything by Dostoevsky and Chekov, various poetry, and I'm currently reading Dubliners.
Lots of music, I guess Al Green and Billy Holiday are on the most-listened to list right now.
