Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live the DREAM.
ABOUT ME
We are both from Reno, NV US. We weren't born here, but it is home to both of us. I'm originally from Bangladesh, and Cavour is from Wisconsin, US. This is my last semester and I'm studying abroad in Accra, Ghana, which has been my home for the last three months. Cavour is still in the US because of his job. He is a technician for an alternative energy company in Reno. We've been separated for almost 4 months and now we are ready to meet up in Paris and explore the world together! Well, just North Africa and Western Europe, at least for now. Our friends would describe us as adventurous and hilarious people. I'm a great cook (so I've been told) and I love to cook for people! Outside of his day job as a solar tech, Cavour is a musician. He is amazing with a guitar in his hands! We think that life is about eating good food, spending time with good friends and family (hopefully with some vino), and adding some rhythm and music to it every chance we get!
PHILOSOPHY
Live in the present, not the past or the future. No point dwelling in what was or what could be, just "Be Here Now", and make the best of this present moment.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
“Nothing makes the earth seem so spacious as to have friends at a distance; they make the latitudes and longitudes.”- Henry David Thoreau
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't "officially" couch surfed, but I have spent time on friends' couches and welcomed friends to my home whenever they needed it. We both have many friends who have traveled to all parts of the world and have done couch surfing. ALL of them have told us about their fun and positive experiences.
Interests
We enjoy spending time with good people, drinking wine and eating good food, while having good conversations. There is nothing like being in good company, to enjoy a glass of wine or a cup of coffee with. What makes my life engaging is the company I keep and the travels I have done with them, both international and within the US.Cavour and I have traveled together in the US, with friends as well, and it's one of our favorite things to do. There's nothing like experiencing new things in life, but it's so much better when done in good company.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love just about ALL kinds of music, really, I do. Cavour, being a musician himself, is pickier than me but still likes a broad range of music. Some of OUR favorites: CAKE, The Black Keys, Neil Young, Ben Kweller, Beatles, Jenny Lewis/ Rilo Kiley, Tom Petty, Beck, and Willie Nelson. Some of MY PERSONAL favs: Rihanna, Bob Marley, Lauren Hill, John Butler, Florence and the Machine, house music, and anything that gets me groovin.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Most amazing things I have done so far in my life:
1. The Burning Man festival is probably one of the most spectacular moments in my life. It's a festival in Nevada's Black Rock Dessert, where 50,000 people gather each year and build an entire city full of art, culture, music, and madness... only to be burned down at the end of the week. It's an amazing thing to see and be a part of.
2. Living in Africa for 4 months has been a very memorable experience as well. Probably one of the best decisions I've made so far in my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can cook indian food and would love to teach! And I would like to learn from locals about their cuisine at the places I travel to.
