About Me

I travel alone most of the time yet I always end up in pleasant company. I want to inspire kindness and have a positive impact on the people I interact with.

*CS is not a dating app, so if we hangout or if one of us provides a couch, there should be no expectations on either side of this turning into anything other than what it was intended for

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don't have much time to host anymore, it may be that I would only be able to do so during the weekends. I only have an inflatable mattress to offer for now as I am saving money to buy an actual couch bed for guests.
I am a very clean guest and I have nothing but respect for whoever is willing to host me.
I generally like the community here, it's pretty wholesome and I hope to connect with hosts or guests as I do not have much time reserved for people I do not know and I would like to leave someone's place feeling like we actually connected for a day or two. Some of my best conversations were held with complete strangers and happened to be just what was needed.

Music, Movies, and Books

- I am a big fan of jazz and rock music, I also enjoy a lot older pop music; I've discovered Dutch raves since I moved to the Netherlands and techno music there is pretty decent; I play the piano, so classical music is highly appreciated; I tried learning guitar when I was 14 but I ended up mostly borrowing it to my friends who'd have a concert

I regard myself as a cinephile, there is no need to write much in this section. French, Russian, Polish, Northern, Chinese/Korean are film cultures in which I took great interest.

I lectured on certain books and I generally enjoy what I think are good reads.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm probably a walking newspaper/encyclopedia when it comes to my country; I am interested in learning more about cultural differences, food, the language, music, history, politics - mostly whatever it is that you think a foreigner should learn about your country, your region, yourself; I know it sounds super specific what I could share, but really, I can end up talking about almost anything, I am sure we'll find a middle ground!

What I Can Share with Hosts

What I can offer guests for now as I will probably only be hosting in this period*:

I cook quite often and pretty decently, but don't rely on the fact that I'd have cooked food if I am in a busy period. I can show you hidden gems and make up a guide for you with touristic spots, good cafes. If there is an event going on that seems interesting, we can check it out. I am more or less up to date with the cultural scene around here.
