ABOUT ME

I'm a girl in the search of happiness, trying to take life easy and not let worries overcome.
Sometimes I can be really funny, but I can't promise when :D. I enjoy talking, but also keeping silent from time to time. I think it may be worth taking some risks at times, but I am usually calm. You may say I'm calculate, but sometimes I can take decisions without having a reason. I won't usually insist having things done my way. I'd love to learn improvising, though so far doing things by the book comes easier to me. I'm open to learn new ways of seeing things.

PHILOSOPHY

It's not always easy, but I usually learn what life is about through my mistakes. I think every new situation makes you discover new things about yourself and help you realize what you really want in life.
From how I see it, all people are looking for happiness, only in different ways and places. When I think I found it, it's always slipping through my fingers, dragging me to overcome my limits. I'm a hard learner, but it's a nice journey :D

And yes, I believe the place that Nicolae Steinhardt describes as "the place of light and green flowery meadows, full of little chubby puppies and white kittens with a bow" is heaven because it feels like it when you try to imagine the picture :)

For now I enjoy participating in CS meetings and keeping in touch with travelers and locals from different places I visit.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been introduced to the CouchSurfing concept by a CSer in Porto, where I first started attending weekly meetings or other gatherings and I've really enjoyed the company of many nice people with different/inspiring perspectives on life.

Interessen

People with interesting stories. A good concert. Dogs :)
A good book. Friends. A good movie. Discovering new music. Discovering new people. Discovering new ways of seeing life. Discovering a bit more about myself. Places that I hold fond memories of. People that make those places memorable. Striving not to be 'somehow', just be. The ups and downs of that :). The feeling of belonging - somewhere, with someone, etc. Happiness and joy without a reason. Freedom. Nature. Irish dances. Guitar. Piano.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Alexandre Dumas, Victor Hugo. Did I say Alexandre Dumas? :D
The Lord of the Rings movies were special to me. I still didn't finish the books :|
I grew with Harry Potter books and I'm still a fan :) The movies aren't bad either.
Torey Hayden's books really impress me.
It's even nicer when you share your passion for all these with a special person. I have my sister for this :).
I dream of having the entire collection of C.S.Lewis' books.

Nice music: folk, bluegrass, artists like Kate Rusby, Wil Maring, Celine Dion (especially French discography), Jean Jacques Goldman + other French artists, Tiziano Ferro + Cesare Cremonini + other Italian artists. Irish music is nice. Just discovered Carlos Núñez. Mumford & Sons. She & Him.

Other nice movies: August Rush, Forrest Gump, Pride and Prejudice, Tim Burton's movies, movies with Johnny Depp and Helena Boham Carter :D. I still enjoy Disney. Any movie that can make me feel something special without being cheesy.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Seeing the total sun eclipse on 11 of august 1999 was really spectacular. The day turned into crepuscular light for about a minute or so. I remember looking around me really amazed.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

Is computer programming among the things you would like to learn in your travelings? Or would you rather find out about French literature? Some history? Some language skills in Romanian, English or Italian might help you? I can share my occupational skills and my passions, they are not plenty but if they work for you that's great.
I'd love to learn playing the guitar, or learn some Chinese, some new things about France, and about different lifestyles and true life stories.
