ABOUT ME
Well...briefly about me: I'm Romanian, living in England for 9 years, mostly in London... I love mountains, photography, swimming, shells, chocolate, boardgames and puzzles. I'm the curious type so please do not feel offended if I ask many questions:) ... Ideally I'd spend my life travelling and working around the world, exploring caves, mountains, staring at old buildings, visiting odd museums and takings lots of pics.
PHILOSOPHY
It doesn't matter how slowly you're going as long as you don't stop. (Confucius)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have used cs a few times, my main experience being in Shanghai and Barcelona where I met some extraordinary people...I cannot host people but I can show people round the city, help them to get by and go out for dinner and a drink.
I occasionally book short trips by myself that fiends cannot make it due to short notice, so ideally I like to meet local people to show me round their town where possible, have a chat and discover the characteristics of each place.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have mainly used cs in Shanghai, China and it was a great experience, the people I met were so welcoming and I think I have learned a great deal about China from them...local people are the real key to a place culture and soul. I have also met some wonderful people in the UK, Barcelona and Istanbul through cs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Some...unusual things:
-Recently climbed Breithorn (4165m) in the Alps
-Climbed the highest peak in the Balkan peninsula, Musala
-Walked on the Great Wall of China
-Slept in a tent in..practically winter (officially spring) in Northern Wales
-Run the half marathon in Birmingham
-Climbed Snowdon at night (peak in Wales, UK) as part of a charity challenge - seen the sunrise from the summit at around 4am
-Flew in a hot air baloon over Morocco at sunrise
-Drunk Guiness with condensed milk - it's not that bad as it sounds:)
