Hi there! :-) I'm Irini and my partner's name is Paul. We're from Romania and we're very enthusiastic travelers. We love to discover new places and cultures and we're fond of everything that's original and out-of-the-box. Spending time in nature gives us the thrills and we really enjoy cycling around town or in the nearby forests or alongside the river. We're very outgoing and friendly and we consider that being able to exchange ideas with others is one of the nicest ways to expand our knowledge and why not, to make friends for a lifetime. We have a baby-boy named Otis, who's almost 2; he's very sweet but also naughty and definitely makes our lives brighter.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We're couchsurfing because we love the experience you gain when meeting new people and there's certainly no one better at offering insight than a local. We really care for sharing so there's no better way of giving and receiving while traveling than to couchsurf. As well, we'd like to visit as many countries as possible during our lifetime and this is a great opportunity to save some money in order to be able to do so.

Interests

As I said above, we love cycling and traveling, but we're also very keen on swimming, hiking and taking long walks deep into the forrests or on the seashore as we feel we can find comfort and peace in this places. We like reading and watching mind-bending movies, adventuring to remote places and we're definitely endlessly suffering from wanderlust.

Music, Movies, and Books

Chillout, chillstep, dubstep, raggae, rock, indie, trance, jazz, blues, basically anything worth listening to that conveys with our moods and gives us chills up our spines.
We love books on spiritual and philosophical matters, as well as travel books, sci-fi novels and so on. Generally books that expand our consciousness, or help us to do so and nonetheless, books that nourish our souls.
Among the movies we loved most are Inception, Into the wild, The Matrix, The fountain, The boat that rocked, Talking Woodstock, Samsara, Eat.Pray.Love, Pay it forward, The butterfly effect and so on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We went by bike to a goa-psy-trance festival, Waha, held in a forrest, which was 180 km from our home, on a pretty demanding route. We were amazed by the views we got to see and we also enjoyed that the hole trip was eco-friendly and gave us an opportunity to really dive in the details that you don't get to observe by any other means of transportation.

Teach, Learn, Share

We want to share with everyone the love of beauty, harmony and understanding that we deeply feel to our core and we think that we can learn something from every human being, be it a homeless man or a schooled one. We'd surely love to know more from other travelers' journeys. We can teach our guests how to cook a Romanian meal or what's best to visit here and all the tips & tricks needed to have a wonderful time in our country.
