I am an international student from China and now live in Finland. I was born in Nantong, which is a lovely small city that is a one-hour drive from Shanghai😜. So people call it the "backyard garden of Shanghai"👻. The most special part of this city is education and sports. Students here are especially good at Maths and Physics hahha👍👍👍 Many scientists and Olympic champions come from my hometown👏.

Then I moved to Nanjing - a capital city in Jiangsu Province, in 2013 for my bachelor degree when I was 19. I was attracted by its delicious food and famous historic sites🍱🍛🍲🌆🌇. It has been capital city for 6 dynasties back into Chinese long histories🇨🇳. My bachelor program in China has some collaborations with some North American universities, that is why I went to Vancouver, Canada in 2015 ✈✈✈.

The Canadian university I was in is called the University of British Columbia. I feel so lucky to get the chance of experiencing academic learning in such an advanced place🙆🙆🙆. I studied Urban Forestry and Environmental Design. I appreciated the city of Vancouver a lot and really enjoyed living there😁. I always went hiking in the surrounding mountains in summer🏃and snowboarding in Winter🎿. People are all open-minded and warm-hearted❤💛💙. Everyone will smile at you and say hello on street no matter you know him/her or not;) My limited horizon was greatly broadened in this super megacity👼. Then after graduation, I applied for an exchange master program called Transfor-M. Then I come to Finland to study for one year 🎉.

I am studying remote sensing and geographic information system in Joensuu, a tiny city in middle eastern Finland and Rusia. I enjoy the quiet and simple life here, and warm-hearted (Shy) Finns are really interested😄. I feel like I am having a sweet Scandinavian dream, living in a place where you don't need to lock your bike when you go to a supermarket🔓, a place where drivers always let you go first on the roads🚗🚙🚒, a place where you are able to pick up all kinds of berries and mushrooms without limitation in the forests during the summer and autumn🍆🍓🍌.

Last but not least, What words l can use to describe myself are out-going, hard-working, helpful, enthusiastic, open-minded etc. My dream is to travel around the world. Then l think this website is very helpful to help me realize my dream😜😜😜.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A friend of mine recommended it to me last year, and shared some of her some cool experiences from her hosts, that's how I got to know this app📝.

Apprently, Couchsurfing is the cheapest method to travel unless you plan to sleep on streets😱... It provides backpackers the chance to know the people👩👲💂👷👵👸 from all over the world, and it connects the people who have same interests and helps you know not only more about different cultures💃🎩🎓🎅, but also their real lifes which might illuminate your life, and encourage you to learn from their experiences or their own personalities😊.

For me, I love travelling and I wish to meet new lovely friends from all around the world 🇩🇪🇷🇺🇫🇷🇰🇷🇺🇸🇬🇧🇮🇹🇪🇸🇯🇵 I wish to try as many new things as possible✌, get to know as many fun people as possible✌, explore as many places that I want to go as possible✌! Let us share our amazing experiences with each other:)😀

Last thing, all backpackers are welcome, I also would love to host! But I am afriad that no one comes to Joensuu so that's why I still don't get any sufers from other countries...
