I'm Iris and I'm a life-loving, passionate and open-minded person. I love social interaction, especially highly valuing the connecting aspect of it, but I'm also very well able to enjoy the peace of life. That's also a reason why I'll be going to Ireland. To enjoy the pure wildlife, the spine-chilling quiet of nature which is quite hard to find in the Netherlands.

I love to talk about a broad variety of topics, from the simple things to the more deeper topics in life. I have many interests, passions and aspirations. I have an innate love for nature, a passion for connecting with new people and sharing stories, and an inner desire to explore the beauties that this world has to offer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'll be going on a 11-day backpacking trip this summer to Ireland. It's something that I've always wanted to do and I'm excited that I'm finally going to do it. It would be great to spend the nights in Ireland couchsurfing to meet local people and to see what the Irish life like. I love seeing new faces and places, making connections and exchanging stories, and to even write new stories with the people I meet along the way. I'll be going to Dublin, Galway, Killarney and Cork. I haven't found enough places to stay at, so if you're looking for someone to host, feel free to let me know! :)

Music: classical (Romantic, Baroque, Impressionism), Chinese and Japanese traditional, Celtic, Lady Gaga, videogame music, movie music (Disney!, Ghibli and plenty of others), broadway/theatre music (Phantom of the Opera, etc.), Fantasy-like music.

Movies: The Miracle Worker, Mulan, Into the Wild, The Pursuit of Happyness. Disney, Ghibli (especially Kiki's Delivery Service). Recently started getting into Harry Potter (I know, I'm late.)

Books: Chronicles of Ancient Darkness, thrillers by David Baldacci, adventure by Clive Cusslers, The Alchemist. I've read too many books to properly remember all of my favourites. :))

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Deciding to go on an adventure in Ireland. It's gonna be my first 'real' travelling adventure, and I hope that it's gonna be the start of a long chain of adventures.
