ABOUT ME

Hey Stranger! Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Iris, 20 years old typing this, a lover of good coffee and bad jokes. I am fond of meeting people (obviously) and I believe that we're all here to make connections to each other. This is why I want to talk to you - let's not be strangers! I was born and raised in Rotterdam. I love pretty much all stuff creative like lots and lots of music (both listening and making), movies (mostly the classics), books (definitely the classics - lit-nerd all the way!) and all theater/museum stuff you can think of. I'm often called a hippie. I take definite pride in this. My mind works in sometimes horribly romantic ways, in the way that reading a Pablo Neruda poem underneath a tree might be my version of heaven. The biggest upside in this is that I try and hope to find beauty in every corner of the world - something I often succeed in for myself. Don't worry though - I also enjoy terrible puns, bad tv shows and drinking beer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have 3 personal experiences with couchsurfing so far. Once with actually couchsurfing with a wonderful boy in Paris, one time where someone gave me a lengthy tour through Budapest which ended at his house where they mixed vodka through basically anything (including milk), and most recently in Ljubljana (the capital of Slovenia). Here, a local art history student took me to class. All these experiences were without a doubt very positive, so I hope I will be able to add many more to this list :)
