我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I travel most often alone, and even though it's by choice, even that can be lonely. I love getting the "inside scoop" of a place - and who better to share that than a local host.

More recently I am hosting more than surfing... I hope my guests leave having learned something about Winnipeg, and I hope to pay back the kindness, hospitality, and friendship couchsurfing has enabled me on my own adventures.

I like biking, and traveling by bike, a lot. If you give me some notice I can have a bicycle for you to borrow during your stay.

I love festivals, camping, and

I play on a rec beach volleyball team so it may be possible to join us for a game.

In the winter, we can cross-country ski.

Cycled along the Danube from Belgrade, Serbia to Linz, Austria, camping and couchsurfing along the way.

Cycled from Montreal to Quebec City and back. A solo trip but I was never alone, met so many wonderful people!

Visited the temples of Bagan in Myanmar.

Created and performed a one-woman theatre piece.

I love my city, Winnipeg, and I want you to love it too. There is so much going on and the people are lovely.

Winnipeg really shines in the summer, but there are lots of things to do for the brave souls who visit in the winter.

If you're visiting over my days off we may be able to see some of rural Manitoba.

I can teach you some hula hoop tricks. Also we can practice English and French together.

My work schedule can vary and I often have long hours... you will need to be okay with exploring on your own most of the day. I'm happy to offer recommendations and join you if my schedule allows.

I like cooking and would be happy to share many meals! A potluck is even better.

There is coin laundry in my building - please do not hesitate to ask to use it if I forget to offer.
