About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Back in Germany after living two years in Australia

ABOUT ME

creative, curious, open minded, easy, friendly, honest, positive, interested in other people...

... okay I'll try to write some more about myself than these notes ;)
I am from Germany, yes I like to drink a few beers sometimes.. haha
As far as I have experienced is the beer in Australia not as bad as somebody told me before I moved over here! I am 25 years and already in Australia since April 2013! Before I decided to do some travelling and working over here, I just finished my studying in occupational therapy in Germany! I was used to live in a big flat share with 4 other people in my flat and another flat behind us with 4 more people! So I know what it is like to live with different, young and free, easy going people who are most of the time up to enjoy their lives as far as studying enables it! ;)
To come to Australia was one of my dreams since I've finished highschool! And so far I can say it is one of the best decisions I've ever made! I have a lot of interesting months behind me and hopefully a great time in front of me! Before I have to go back to Germany one day I just plan to have a great time through couch surfing! I experienced couch surfing so far as a great idea to meet other travellers.. have met a few people in Brisbane through here and travelled in february around Perth and have met great and interesting people/ friends through couch surfing ! I really, really would like to experience this part of getting to know people in other countries a little bit more! So if you are interested in catching up, doing some little day or weekend trip or just meet for a coffee let me know! I am up for a great time and want to spend my travelling with fun and new experiences on each of these days:)

Music, Movies, and Books

Okay there are lot of movies, books and especially music i'm interested in! It's hard for me to tell or to pick my favourites, there are so many good things out there that i don't want to miss. I quite like the book one day and just recently finished a book called tuesdays with morrie which was really good! Also I'm interested in Hermann Hesse, but only read one book of him yet (Narziss und Goldmund) don't know the english version and don't know if there actually exist an english version. Its definitely one of my favourite books. He is a well known, classic and quite famous author/ writer in Germany. I also liked books from Martin Suter and I loved the Harry Potter books!!!

Movies: An endless list of movies i like... favourites are lucky number slevin, the perks of being a wallflower, one day, hunting and gathering (ensemble, c'est tout), lord of the ring and the hobbit movies, down by law, funny stuff like shaun of the dead, hot fuzz, due date.. head hunters was quite suspenseful! Almost everything with johnny depp ;) I also like to watch documentaries about animals or nature in general! it's not a particular genres i'd say which makes me like a movie some are touching me more than others... it has to impress and fascinate me and make me forget about the world around me! I think its the main part of books, movies and music in general which makes it so important and irreplaceable for us!

I definitely can't live without music! I'd say my favourite music genre is indie, alternative, rock music, but also electronical stuff, hip hop and old and classic things like bob dylan, the doors, the beatles, bill withers, a bit of jazz and reggae... wye oak, the decemberists, red hot chilli peppers, norah jones, a few german hip hop artists (umse, shaban feat. Kaeptn peng, freundeskreis), jack johnson, adam green, broken bells and probably a lot more that i forgot now belong to my favourites.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Saw Uluru, Kata Tjuta, Kings Canyon and slept under million of stars, Queenstown in New Zealand was amazing, Cape le grand national park in Esperance was stunning while we were road tripping from QLD to WA, Angkor Wat and Cambodia was a really good experience, lots of little things that means a lot to me :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I share all I have, myself as an individuum, my experiences, all I know... and would like to learn from other people, whatever they have to give.
