About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To find myself by getting lost

ABOUT ME

I lived in Dublin until I was 23 then moved to London for 4 years. After selling my soul to the corporate world I thought I´d better quit and go find it by travelling the world.

I love sports, especially Ultimate Frisbee, and I love meeting people from around the world. Oh, I enjoy the occasional beer.... (I am Irish after all!)

PHILOSOPHY

Making people happy makes me happy which makes people happy which makes me happy....

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined CS in 2008 and have since hosted, surfed and now mostly go to random meet ups in Sydney. I'm always available for coffee / drinks around the city and love to do the more random things on offer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed two crazy nights in San Salvador and hosted many times in Sydney. I've never had a bad experience.

Interests

CAMPER VANS!!!

I just bought a beautiful 1988 campervan with 400k on it and am looking for fun people to go exploring australia with. I'm planning on doing the full loop heading up the east coast from Sydney then around to Perth via the north coast. Let me know if you want to join :)

HIKING!!
Australia has some incredible hikes to do. So many on the list....

ULTIMATE FRISBEE!!
By far and away the greatest sport with the greatest people in the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I´m open to watching or reading anything. Recent reads are Shantaram, the Fatal Shore (a must for anyone living in Australia) and the Rational Optimish which gives a really good history of humanity and culture.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I trekked up the Indians Nose on Lake Atitlan, Guatemala at 3am to watch the sunrise. It was one of the most beautiful things I´ve ever seen.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a pretty good knowledge of how the world economy works!! or at least I thought I did,...

Currently I´m doing drama classes and trying to get my ass in gear for some half marathons.

Countries I’ve Visited

El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, Canada, Ireland, United Kingdom, United States
