ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm an Irish guy who set off on his travels in January 2007 with a view to spending 4 months in South America, 2 months in New Zealand and then going to work in Australia for a while. Well, 4 months in South America has turned into a full year (have been living and working in Buenos Aires for the past six months) and its only now that I'm taking the flight across the Pacific to discover New Zealand. Am totally new to CouchSurfing, I heard about it from a friend here in Buenos Aires...and since I'm flying out of BA for New Zealand on January 3rd, I thought I'd sign up and hopefully get to meet up some cool people on my travels. I'm a pretty out-going person so I imagine I'll meet people in hostels and stuff, but as I'm travelling alone and I love to meet locals, I thought I'd sign up for this. I plan to spend January and February in NZ and I have a flight to Sydney on March 11th. That is the "plan"...but given what happened to my previous "plans", the connection between the "plan" and what will actually happen might be pretty loose! A friend once told me, "Plans are what you tell your parents you are doing in life so that they can sleep at night". Anyhow, do get in touch if you fancy meeting up for a coffee or a drink sometime.
